Privacy Policy
This notice covers Pubb websites, hosted workspaces, realtime event processing and subscription administration.
Who is responsible
FA CREATIVE & TECHNOLOGIES LTD is responsible for deciding how personal information is used to operate this website. Contact details appear at the end of this notice.
The public landing site links to the Pubb console for account management and to Polar checkout for paid subscriptions.
Information handled by the website
- Technical request data. Hosting, network delivery, and security systems process information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, request times, response statuses, and browser request headers.
- Cookie preferences. Your selection, its date, expiry, and policy version are stored in your browser. This record contains no name, email address, or advertising identifier.
- Information you send us. If you contact us, we use the information you choose to provide to respond and keep track of the request.
The local event demo keeps its messages in page memory and does not send them to the Pubb messaging API. Refreshing the page clears them. A channel entered in the quickstart form appears in the documentation URL and may therefore be included in request logs; use a non-sensitive example name.
Why we use this information
Technical information helps us deliver the website, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. Our basis for this processing, where data-protection law requires one, is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website.
We remember your cookie choice to provide the preference-management feature you requested. We use correspondence to answer enquiries, take steps you request before an agreement, or meet applicable legal obligations. If we introduce optional tracking that requires consent, we will request it before that tracking is enabled.
Cookies and tracking
This landing application does not include advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Fonts are served with the website rather than loaded from a third-party font provider. The Cookie Policy lists the browser storage used for your preferences.
Infrastructure providers may process request information or use essential security mechanisms to protect delivery. These are separate from advertising or audience tracking.
Accounts, events and billing
Google sign-in supplies account identity information such as your name and email address. We store account, session, workspace and application records to provide access and protect credentials. We process event payloads and subscription information to route your realtime messages.
We record workspace-level message operations and estimated event traffic to enforce Free quotas, show usage and operate capacity limits. Accepted event payloads are held briefly for dispatch, then removed when dispatched or processed as expired. Events older than 60 seconds are not dispatched; an outage may delay removal of pending records. Request deduplication records are normally removed after 24 hours. Processed billing notification identifiers are normally removed after 90 days.
Polar receives the workspace identifier and the details you provide during checkout. Pubb stores billing customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status and billing dates. Card details are entered in Polar’s checkout and are not stored by Pubb. Billing records and usage totals remain associated with the workspace while needed to operate the account and resolve billing questions.
Application owners decide what they publish and who may subscribe. Publish only information you are authorized to process, and provide the notices required for your own application. Contact us about customer data, deletion requests or any additional data-processing terms required for your use.
Service providers and disclosures
Hosting and network-security providers process technical data needed to deliver the website. Pubb’s public domain uses Cloudflare for network delivery and security. Google provides sign-in and Polar provides checkout and subscription billing. Their own notices describe how they process information for their services. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to meet a legal obligation, respond to a valid legal request, or protect against unlawful activity.
We do not sell information collected through this website or use it for targeted advertising. We do not treat the use of an external link as permission for the destination to track you under this notice.
Retention and location
Your cookie preference expires after 180 days and is checked again on a later visit. You can remove it sooner through Cookie Settings or your browser’s site-data controls.
Technical logs and correspondence are retained only as needed for the operational, security, support, and legal purposes described here. The appropriate period depends on the type of information and whether it is needed to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation.
Network delivery can involve processing in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer of personal information, those safeguards must apply to the transfer.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You can contact us to exercise these rights. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. You can also complain to the data-protection authority in your country; in the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the website’s information practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. New purposes that require consent will not be covered by an earlier cookie choice.
